Process - March Meet The Maker

The process is...messy. Not always but a lot of the time. The truth is we have to get used to the mess. Some times things go smoothly. Yay! A lot of the time our lives are up in the air. Who could possibly be prepared for the situations life throws at us? We live for years and shit is just happening. all. the. time. It can feel exhausting some times to constantly clean up.

I try to see messes as the fun of life. We learn and grow and change through our messes. There can be a pressure to look clean and put together all the time but the messes behind the scenes are much more important. A lot of it personal work that can't be seen in a photograph or curated into an image of perfection.

I am a beautiful mess. There I said it! That's the process for me! I dig in the dirt, some times my fingers get cut, other times I am sweating my butt off!! My tables aren't always clean or clear, my laundry is not always done, my dishes aren't always clean. It happens! My process can be messy and I am unapologetic about it! Don't get me wrong, organization is important to me and important for running a business and having a happy life. Cleanliness is essential too, especially for good health. My process is a stunning mess of learning, growing, experimentation, play, and expertise! The mess is where our childlike wonder lies, our whimsy, and playfulness resides. This kind of life nurtures optimism and keeps my spirit alive.

There's nothing more fun than a table full of sparkles or a bowl of markers because the process of organizing them or layering the colors into a brilliant work of art is SO SATISFYING. You make a mess, play with the materials, then clean everything up, and admire your creation or revel in the feeling of your creative freedom. That's the process.
