Diesel Spring Summer 2024

Diesel shoes and denim are definitely high on my list of wearable items. I've always wanted to wear their jeans and have owned several pairs of this brands shoes over the years. When this fashion show popped up on my youtube feed I was definitely a bit skeptical but I'm so glad I watched until the end and paid attention to the details in the show as a whole
The count down and opening look had me doubting the whole show but once I gave the whole collection a chance the work left me impressed and inspired. First I'd like to note the production of the show. The red lighting and red carpeted raised runway is fantastic. Loved the music in the video and somehow the rainy weather did not take away from the show at all. My favorite live shot that was played on the giant screen behind the runway was the one that made the runway look like it was going into the backstage area infinitely. LOVE!! Very surreal.

At some point it dawned on me that this collection is serving wet newspaper in the gutter and trash glam and I'm LOVING IT.

And I mean that in the least offensive or degrading way possible. You'd have to be completely oblivious to the current state of the fashion industry if you've not noticed the massive influx of trashion fashion shows, up-cycling, recycling, and refurbishing of materials happening today. This collection is modern, future, current and wearable. Truly a wonderful display of the brands finger on the pulse of right now and what is to come as far as materials and silhouette.
As far as models go, everyone slayed the runway but I'm not sure why the brand and their team only casted bone thin talent. This is definitely a place where the brand could expand and seemed very off beat as far as the future and current state of fashion. We are all inclusive on bodies baby! Join the revolution, juicy bodies aren't going anywhere and SO MANY of these looks would have been amazing on various sizes of bodies. Expand that market DIESEL! You're seriously missing out IMO.

Now to get into some of my favorite looks from the collection.

I LOVE a floor length dress and these two dresses from the beginning of the show with the distressed and kind of sheer fabric are EVERYTHING!

It's not Diesel without DENIM!

The textures, treatments and details are everything for these looks and it was hard to pick favorites from this section.

A moment for this Pastel Yellow & Nude

I LOVE this goddess warrior statue vibe with the nude and pastel yellow. I mean COME ON! Stunning and would look great on a lot of body shapes.

Then we went into Texture HEAVEN

It's about the details in this line if you ask me. I love the way modesl were painted all over and others were baring it all. Capturing the maximal and the minimal with no in between. That's our fashion world for you now a days. This section was the moment I realized how wonderful this collection is. The colors, the textures, the way the fabrics are manipulated and treated. Just WOW

And then this happened...

These looks highlighting the V of the crotch just took me all the way there. There are several looks with this design and I totally get it. Are they underpants? A Skirt? Pants? IDK but I LOVE IT. I love how feminine and unique this design is. Specifically this look with the skin tone mesh and the high vibe blue. WOW! What a way to highlight the stunning figure of a woman.

I would TOTALLY rock this look:

Love the tan/nude baggy jacket and pants combo. All of this is getting me super excited about making another collection. This one is exciting even though it might seem a little understated. I felt the attention to details in the materials was fantastic. Loved the runway show production and the collection as a whole is very now. Congrats!!
