We are honored to share our Pride Collection which debuted at Motor City Pride on Sunday June 8, 2025 in Hart Plaza Downtown Detroit. We created 9 deliciously vibrant looks to be featured in the Strut Honey Fashion Show on the Pyramid Stage during Detroit's Pride festival. Let me tell you the story of how this happened!!
Two weeks ago, I got a call from an online friend. We’ve known each other for a while, and out of the blue, they asked: “Do you want to show a collection at Motor City Pride?” And I’m thinking… HECK YES I DO!!! Of course, I said yes. I immediately kicked into overdrive, knowing there was no time to waste. From that moment on, it was a whirlwind of fabric, fittings, and last-minute magic. I found the most amazing rainbow colored fabrics at a local shop. This fabric was what tied the whole collection together and made it so cohesive! I’m beyond excited (and honestly still a little shocked) to have shown a collection during one of the most vibrant, affirming celebrations in the city of Detroit. It's incredible what can be accomplished with the right opportunity, team and approximately 2 weeks of time. The show was a fantastic display of Detroit's talent and passion. We had other local designers, dancing and so much fun at this show! This opportunity is a reminder that the work, connections, and intention behind everything I do really does ripple out. I'm still riding a high from this show. <3
