Citrine LaCroix is a Detroit-based mixed media artist whose work spans photography, painting, fashion design, screen printing, and papermaking. Rooted in a passion for all things hand-made, her creations invite viewers to explore vibrant colors and earthy connections. Since 2014, Citrine has drawn inspiration from nature, human relationships, and the joyful process of crafting by hand.
With a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Michigan’s Penny W. Stamps School of Art & Design, Citrine has honed her skills across numerous artistic techniques, enriching her approach to fine art. Her journey began with painting and drawing as a child, later blossoming through photography, which sparked her vision for color and creativity. Citrine’s fashion and jewelry designs are meticulously crafted to enhance confidence and celebrate bold individuality. Citrine’s works have been showcased at ArtPrize in Grand Rapids (2015 & 2021) and exhibited throughout Michigan, from Detroit to Mackinac Island. Her debut fashion show, Monochrome, hit the runway at Eastern Market during Michigan Fashion Week in 2023, making an iconic statement in Michigan’s art and fashion scene.
Her Moon Flower Collection was most recently presented during Detroit Day of Fashion, highlighting her evolving approach to textiles, hand-made gemstone jewelry, and garden-inspired artwork. Citrine is now developing a new collection debuting April 25, 2026, which will make its runway appearance at Water Tower Place in Chicago.
